The Present
Richard left the group around 1995 having spent over 20 years in the Temptations. Only Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin had been Temptations longer than Richard Street. In 1995, Richard's cousin and best friend Melvin Franklin passed away. The loss devastated Richard. In 2000, Richard suffered from a blood clot in his lung that almost took his life. Miraculously he recovered and vowed to carry on performing in the memory of Melvin, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams. Richard and his group tour the world performing the music of the Temptations the way it used to be.

Their show is chalked full of all of the hits, choreography and suits that made the Temptations a household name for the past 40 years. Along with touring, Richard is currently working on his long talked about book about the Temptations with an L.A. writer. Look for progress reports on this website and come check out a show and see how this legendary voice brings you the music you have loved for so many years.
